Homemade Gravlax Changed My Life

Got the recipe from the back of my Diamond brand kosher salt box.

This was beet horseradish gravlax made in my own fridge.

I took this picture after the requisite three days. No after shot.

Delicious Din Din

Green Barley Gratin from Deborah Madison's Vegetarian Cooking for all.

Exquisite with a crispy fresh salad.

Tu B'Shvat Seder

Hil hosted a seder for ten. Much delicious food was had by all. Pictured here are mandala salads, labneh and barley-stuffed grape leaves. Not appearing in photographic form but etched in our memory: Shayn and July's righteous peanut noodles, Elisa's black kale salad, quinoa salad, Heather's ratatouille, plus numerous bottles of wine and three courses of ritually significant fruits and nuts.

Double Penance

Sorry to everyone at dinnerlastnight for disappearing. I know you've all been dying to know what delectable treats I've been cooking up these past two months. From New Year's Eve until the end of January, my camera was broken. And from the end of January until now, I've been swamped with other stuff to do. But I have taken a few shots of food I've made.

Take these: blueberry muffins from Baking Illustrated. I made these for my downstairs neighbor because I spray painted in the basement and filled her 1st floor apartment with odious fumes. Sorry Sarah!
